logo playlist We could just copy here the lyrics of the first track of the new album by NEUROSIS, who resurfaced after a decade. But we will only repeat one verse:

We’ve forgotten how to live, so we suffer.</span<“

The soundtrack of the first month of this Spring of Disquiet contains some very heavy concepts delivered with bone-crushing honesty and emotional weight by all bands, new and well-established ones. We were very happy to welcome two new bands from the dark alternative scene of France, one of which is BUZZKILL with an impressive debut album and the other is Une Vraie Gothique. While the sound of BUZZKILL has a stronger punk character, the multilingual lyrics and the sensual dark electro rhythms and melodies by Une Vraie Gothique, captured our hearts. We have been fascinated by the cinematic inspiration that drives the new project New German Cinema, and we cannot wait to experience this band live in London at the end of May 2026.

Finally, the return of The Twilight Sad and LADYTRON with captivating new albums and videos, made sure that the bittersweet feelings we were experiencing throughout March, were soothed.

We hope you enjoy this playlist as much as we did preparing it. And if you fancy listening to our radioshow on Mixcloud which included some of these releases you can do so from this link.

logo playlistThe sound of the beginning of 2026 is one that feels at odds with the global energy of shock and terror that is unveiling. Whether through landscape-inspired soundscapes or driven by an excitement for sonic experimentation that sees no boundaries, the bands that make up the soundtrack of this month are definitely worth your attention. A special mention is due to Backengrillen for releasing one of the bravest albums we will probably hear this year. Merging punk with free jazz, this band does not see any boundaries between genres; instead, it breaks and blends them to create a new sound in the spirit of the punk bands of the 80s.

We also welcomed the release of the new album by Bragolin, a post-punk band loved around the world. Building on the success of their signature sound, the band has offered another dancefloor pleaser album, and we can’t wait to listen to it live at some point. Finally, we really enjoyed the new album by Blackwater Holylight, which is full of psychedelic rock magic!

We hope you enjoy this playlist as much as we did making it, and no matter what you do, do not buy into the global hysteria of terror that is being spread!
