logo playlistWhen all is said and done, there is only sound – sometimes deafening, sometimes imperceptible. Rhythms and melodies with or without words that can either trigger disquieting thoughts or treat wounds that few gestures can. Our favourite independent/underground music releases of this month, explore the experimental sides of post-punk and electronic music and share a melancholic worldview – whether it is through coldwave lyricism or through a more agitated even angry IDM and psychedelic one.

We would like to make a special mention to the return of Flint Glass 5 years after the release of his previous album, with ‘Azathoth‘ an incredible IDM album that has restored our faith in the future of IDM music.  The Glass Beads have also offered a post-punk, symphony of sadness and coldwave aloofness that can make anyone love this music genre and can be very well combined with the releases of Mortal Boy, and Fashion Club. The metal side of independent music is being covered by the new album of HEART ATTACK and its experimental side by the cryptically entitled release of CHORONZON.

We won’t tire you with more details, we hope you enjoy this playlist as much as we enjoyed creating it!
