August was a month whose soundtrack had punk at its core and experimentation as its drive. There were new releases from favourite, well established musicians, welcomed stylistic changes in the music of others and plenty of debut albums that proved the originality of young musicians in the creative treatment of their influences.

September 2018-December 2018: A new season of gigs/albums’ releases
We did not have to worry about the possibility of a war this summer but things continue to be nerve wracking worldwide. Artists are concerned about the impact of Brexit on their plans to visit the UK in the future and promoters seem to have scheduled as many gigs as possible before things become seriously uncertain, early next year.
Blaue Rosen, will be covering as many of these as possible having as our only drive, our desire to experience music in our own way, taking into account the artists’ intentions and exploring new sonic horizons. These are the highlights of the next few months, so far.

Summertime is the preferred period of the year for SUEDE to tease us about an upcoming album release. Following ‘Night Thoughts’ that was released two years ago and was followed by a captivating performance at London’s Roundhouse, SUEDE will be offering to us another glimpse into the ideas that dominate their psyches these days, through their new album entitled ‘The Blue Hour‘ expected on September 21st.

July was an unexpectedly warm month and it definitely needed a motivational soundtrack. This is exactly what it got, both in terms of album releases and in terms of gigs in London. Blaue Rosen’s soundtrack includes favourite releases covering many genres and everything in between. One release set the tone and that was no other than the joint EP of Underworld with Iggy Pop.
